Kathryn Schumann

Kathryn received her BA degree in the Teaching of Ballet in 1986 from Virginia Intermont College. Throughout her career in dance she performed with the Louisville Ballet, Boitsov Classical Ballet, Ballet Chicago, The Lyric Opera of Chicago and in the Ruge Page Nutcracker, as well as teaching at the Lou Conte Dance Studio.

Kathryn began Pilates in 1992 as a way to prevent dance injuries and to prolong her career. After having children she resumed her Pilates studies and became certified in 2001 through the greatly esteemed Authentic Pilates (now called Romana's Pilates.) She is very grateful and happy to be doing the work that she does and is inspired by her teachers and clients to discover ever deeper benefits of the Pilates Method.
